Weekly Wrap-Up: A First Time for Everything!
Muses and Things is officially one month old! Forgive us if we want to bust out the confetti and vuvuzuelas, but we are just extremely thrilled to see the fruits of our sleepless nights finally coming to life.
We’ve probably said this a hundred times before, but it seems that we can never really thank you enough for all the support and encouragement we get. We are always overjoyed each time we receive a tweet, a Facebook like (hurray for our 120 likes on our Facebook page!), a comment, and a message from you. It’s been a month, but the feeling of excitement remains the same—as if we’re all experiencing everything for the first time.
To celebrate our blog’s first month, we bask in nostalgia and relive our leaps of faith as we revisit our “firsts.” The past week has been all about celebrating big and small milestones, remembering past adventures and embarking on new ones, and getting excited (and underwhelmed) over the latest pop culture sensations.
Thank Gracee for her curiosity (and determination) because for her first Muses and Things book review, she gave you 50 reasons to jump into the bandwagon and read 50 Shades of Grey.
Rhas let us in on the challenges she faced the first time she moved out of her family’s home and started living on her own.
Janeca braved the cold and stormy weather for her first trip to Boracay and tried to find where its true beauty lies.
Mitchiku gave us a sneak peek of their first baby gear purchases as they count down the months and prepare for their little bean’s arrival.
Mai taught us the first things we must do when moving to a new country permanently and gave a rundown of important documents and practical information for the newly relocated.
Lia took us back to the beginnings of her literacy advocacy and how her first dictionary transformed not only the lives of the schoolchildren she has met, but most importantly, hers as well.
Yuanne gave us a taste of adventure for her first travel post about the muses’ first hiking trip to Mt. Pinatubo.
That’s it for this week! We hope you had fun reading about our “firsts” and that somehow, we’ve inspired you to try something new. As they say, there’s a first time for everything. And if this is your first time on Muses and Things, we definitely hope it won’t be your last!
Enjoy your weekend, lovelies, and we wish you a Sunday kind of love!
